  • The student must have demonstrated a strong academic record, with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • The student must be able to provide documentation of a compelling reason for withdrawing from the course, such as a medical condition, a family emergency, or a significant change in employment.
  • The student must have a plan in place to complete the course requirements at a later date, either at the same institution or at a different institution.

To apply for the Odyssey of Academic Curiosity waiver, students must submit a written petition to the Dean of Students. The petition should include the following information:

  • The student's name and student ID number.
  • The course name and course number.
  • The reason for withdrawing from the course.
  • The student's plan for completing the course requirements at a later date.

The Dean of Students will review the petition and make a decision on whether or not to grant the waiver. If the waiver is granted, the student will be able to withdraw from the course without penalty.
